Google No. 1 02:46
Excerpt from: Philip Glass' 'Glassworks: Opening' Excerpt from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Google_hoaxes_and_easter_eggs In early test versions of Google Maps, searching for a route between locations separated by expanses of water, for example, Paris and New York, provided road directions to the coast of the destination country, in this case, the west coast of France, before suggesting "Swim the Atlantic Ocean (3,500 miles)" or another ocean for a different distance. Google announced a joint project with the Virgin Group to establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. This operation has been named Project Virgle. The announcement includes videos of Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, as well as Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of Google, on YouTube, talking about Virgle. Google announced gDay in Australia, a new beta search technology that will search web pages 24 hours before they are created. The name is a play on the phrase "g'day". Also in Google Docs, populating spreadsheet cells in row A1-E1 with the letters "P","R,"I","D","E" will make the columns of the spreadsheet be in the colors of the gay pride flag. Google also announced G mail on April 1, with an unprecedented and unbelievable free 1 giga byte space, compared to, for example, Hotmails’ 2 Megabytes. The announcement of G mail was written in an unserious jokey language normally seen in April's fools jokes, tricking many into thinking that it was an April's fool joke. In reality, it was a double fake, in that the announced product was serious. In Google Chrome's Incognito mode, when the user opens a new tab it will come up with a message that says: Be wary of: Surveillance by secret agents, People standing behind you. This was removed as of release 33.0.1750.146.
